VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools)

All individuals volunteering in the classroom and chaperoning field trips must be VIPS certified. Please complete your application and be sure to:

• check all appropriate boxes and sign the back
• attach a photocopy of the results of a T.B. test within the last four years
• attach a photocopy of your driver's license

You will be notified through your classroom teacher once you have been approved by the district and we receive your badge. All applications are processed through one person at the district level, so please be patient with the process.

Tincher continues to support our community by donating unopened, discarded food from student lunches to various community charities. The milk, fruits, and vegetables are especially appreciated at women’s shelters, where there are always young children in need of these healthy foods.

Collection is done on Tuesday and Friday, and gathers about 8 gallons of dairy products and as much as 40 pounds of fruit/veggies! This costs the school and students nothing, and helps dozens of people in our community.
